Life Insurance
Term Life Insurance
Term life insurance is a type of life insurance policy that has a specified end date, and the death benefit is only paid out if the insured dies during that time period. Term life insurance policies typically last between 10 and 30 years,
Whole Life Insurance
Whole life insurance, also known as permanent life insurance, is a policy that lasts your entire life and provides a death benefit to your beneficiaries when you die. It also builds cash value over time that can be accessed through withdrawals or loans.
Universal Life Insurance
Universal life is a form of permanent life insurance that gives policyholders flexibility in paying premiums, a cash savings component, and a death benefit.
Index Universal Life Insurance
Indexed universal life (IUL) insurance is a permanent life insurance policy that offers a death benefit and a cash value component. IUL policies allow policyholders to choose how their cash value grows by placing part of their savings in a tax-deferred cash-value account and another portion in an account that tracks a stock market index. The cash value account can earn interest based on the performance of the index, such as the S&P 500 or NASDAQ, as well as a fixed interest rate. IUL policies typically include an interest rate guarantee, so a minimum interest rate is paid even if the index produces lower returns. However, interest rates are usually also subject to a cap or upper limit, typically between 8% and 12%.
Final Expense Insurance
Final expense life insurance, also known as burial insurance or funeral expense insurance, is a type of life insurance policy that helps cover end-of-life expenses for beneficiaries. It's designed to be inexpensive and limited, with coverage amounts that are usually much smaller than traditional life insurance policies. Final expense policies can help pay for costs such as:
Funeral and burial arrangements
Medical bills
Legal bills
Nursing home expenses
Travel costs
Debts like mortgages, car payments, or credit card balances
